Music festivals: Las Vegas at it again with “Rock in Rio festival”

 Music festivals

This coming weekend there will be plenty of fun, and to make it even more interesting the fun goes on till next weekend. A multitude of young people will throng the famous night clubs and casinos in Las Vegas, although most of them may be too young to go into this fun spots in Vegas but all in all, they will be treated to another outdoor giant party concert at the MGM Grand festival grounds. This site will be hosting the famous North America “Rock in Rio festival” inauguration, with some of the popular names on stage i.e. Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift. And with this kind of outdoor events being not so popular recently in Vegas, Rock in Rio will be the ultimate blast and to add more to this interesting  fact there are three other events or concerts which will blow up the city with fun in a few months after this big one, what a raving opportunity.

Music festivals

Recently such outdoor festivals have emerged and drawn more teens and youths in their twenties. The Las Vegas demographic has not depicted this age group for a while but according to new statistics there have been an enormous number of visitors to Vegas who range from 20 to 28 of age, in 2010; making about 10 percent. Just last year alone the number raised to a whopping 17 percent this is according to Las Vegas Convention and Authority. Las Vegas will be reinventing itself with this huge Rock in Rio festival which might just be the perfect rave or party for the young people in Vegas, who will shine with vibrant rave outfits.

This has been the case across Vegas in the recent past with renewed young spirit which has come alive in raving clubs and parties, and you can prove this when you stride your way in EDC weekends. Las Vegas musical history dates back to the era of Elvis Presley who got much love from fans that were drawn to every concert he performed in Las Vegas, back in 1960; quite amazing. However, it was not until about 5 years ago, when the two biggest festivals were launched iHeartRadio Festival and Electric Daisy Carnival. I think this was meant to reignite the young musical ecstasy with more teens who love to rave getting drawn to these festivals. For instance, Electric Daisy Carnival is associated with ushering the biggest music festivals extravaganzas in Vegas. It is in the 5th year of operation in the city and draws approximately 400,000 loyal musical fans making it the biggest music festival globally. Interestingly, in 2012 alone they added an approximate of $208 million revenue to Las Vegas region which saw the number climb to an estimated $340million last year. Having said all that Vegas it’s not the same place it was 10 years ago, it has transformed and now it is music and a fun paradise.
