Preparing for a rave isn’t all that hard. It’s actually quite easy so long as you remember the important stuff. So whip out your handy dandy notebook and list down these helpful tips to make sure you never forget!
Part of the fun in going to a rave is planning out your outfit and getting creative with it. But be sure to always remember comfort. Look cute but be comfortable. Wear comfortable shoes. Bring a sweater if you know the weather temperature might go below 30 degrees. As for style inspiration, feel free to browse our website. We guarantee you’ll find a few pieces you’ll love.
Water is crucial during a rave – simply because the event lasts for hours. Trust us, you wouldn’t want to faint from dehydration in the middle of a huge crowd.
Bring a fanny pack!
To hold things you think you don’t need but totally do. Things like:
… You’ll thank us later.
Don’t take candy from a stranger… and by candy, we mean drugs.
Yup, you read that right. It is highly likely that you will be offered drugs so we’re warning you now (if it’s your first time, of course). It’ll be a good opportunity to practice prudence. This is because you never know what the drugs might be laced with. There was a time two people died from taking drugs with traces of rat poison. True story. So repeat after us – PRUUUDEEENCE!
Know the lineup!
If it’s your first time and you don’t really listen to EDM, start wetting your toes and maybe learn the differences between genres. Know the line up of the event you’re going to. You wouldn’t want to be a stiff stick in the midst of grooving ravers.
Know your way to and from the event and where to stay in case home is not a destination you can opt for at the moment.
Never attempt to go home high or drunk. Never attempt to ride with someone high or drunk. Just please, DON’T. There are lots more raves to go to. Don’t let your first one be your last.
Go with your crew or anyone who you know shares the same love for EDM… maybe even a special someone? Our point is, raves are better enjoyed when you’re with someone else besides you, yourself, and you.
Lastly, expect some inconvenience but also a memorable experience!
Nothing really ever goes according to what we plan but that’s the beauty of it. Your experience may not be perfect but it will for sure be a memorable one.
Got everything? All set? Now… go and rave your heart out!
